Inclusive Playgrounds
Trillium’s Inclusive Playground grants have provided the opportunity to build over 30 inclusive playgrounds for individuals with special needs and physical disabilities across communities throughout eastern North Carolina.
Playgrounds have equipment and features to give individuals of all ages and abilities the chance to play together outside. Features can include:
- Rubberized surface for wheelchairs and other assistive devices to travel over more smoothly
- Equipment for those with sensory issues
- Full support swings
- Liberty Swing that can be used with a wheelchair
- Doublewide ramps
